Many stories are shared about the motivations of our students to become programmers. We are inspired by their stories and want to share them with you. Dino is a recent Dev Mountain graduate from our web development program in Dallas, TX.
A brief introduction to technology.
Dino was five when his father brought home a used computer. This computer was expensive and slow, even though computers were just starting to make a comeback in the early 1990’s. The computer would see many improvements over the years, but Dino was able to recognize the problem the first time he used it. Dino began to experiment with the computer and quickly realized that he was not just interested in playing on it, but he wanted it to be able to make things.
Hello internet.
Dino was attracted to the internet when it first appeared. Dino wanted to learn more about the internet and how he could make his own website. With whatever resources he could find, he learned everything he could about technology. He was a huge fan of music since he was 14. His first website was all about his favorite band. It was his first webpage that made him the coolest boy in school.
Dino, who was 17 years old, was very interested in music. He searched the internet for a community that he could join. He created it because he couldn’t find one in his area. Everyone who played Croatian music at that time was on it. Croatian musicians were able connect with other musicians to form bands or music groups. Dino created the most popular social network service for musicians in Croatia.
Dino, web developer.
Dino had been a techie his entire life and was keen to become a web developer. After learning that he had been accepted into the Visa Lottery program he started to research which American coding school he should go to. He compared many options for coding bootcamps and found Dev Mountain’s web development program to be the best. It had all the right features he wanted: free housing, location, curriculum, price, and even the curriculum.
This is it.
We asked Dino about his bootcamp experience at Dev Mountain Dallas. He stated that he had no complaints. Not only do you learn how code, but also how to interact with other types of people. This will prove to be very valuable at work. “Everything exceeded all my expectations. Mentors are amazing. Bootcamp is a great way to make friends and become close with your mentors. It was worth it,” Dino stated. Dino was awarded the Demounting award for best personal project. A tool that traders can use to reduce the number of stocks in the market was created by Dino. Traders have the ability to filter stocks by choosing different profit numbers, sectors, and so forth. Dino just completed bootcamp and is now looking for a job as a web developer in the Dallas area. He is confident that he can find a job in web development within the financial sector thanks to the connections he has made at DevMountain and the events DevMountain hosts.
