Design the Planet is a website that you stumble upon. You think “Oh, Design The Planet”, “What a clever name for a marketing agency, let’s check out what they have to say about web development.” Click the link to be transported 10 year ago: A static homepage with a busy color scheme, old fonts, minimal animation, and zero video content. Finding out how to contact us is as simple as Jason Bourne discovering his true identity. This is what you want.
The old saying is that the best cobbler would not have shoes for his family. Our websites are designed and developed for our clients. We have to admit, it can be difficult to plan and create our own. Design The Planet was long behind schedule. In fact, it was almost two years late. While COVID did not help, it was a good start. During the pandemic, we had some reflection and realized that the website was no longer us. It was too late and we needed to make drastic changes in our web development. These are five web development methods that have set us apart and our new website apart from all the rest.
How can you plan every page of your website for success?
1) Each page should be designed to maximize user experience and encourage engagement. It is an understatement to say that every pixel on our new website was created with intention. Websites are the culmination of image and content, color, spacing, movement, and color. Websites we are currently designing are designed for the USER with an obsessive approach. We go beyond “sharing information” and “building a shopping basket”. We interlink what the client needs with what we want to see and when. You might have heard about UX/UI (User experience/User interface). We approached each page with very specific guidelines and goals to ensure that our audience/user planning speaks to both humans and GoogleAI.
2) Video content is KING. According to last year’s survey, video was predicted to account for an unprecedented 82% of all internet traffic by (TrueFilmProduction.com) If that was anticipated for 2020, think of how much video plays a part in media consumption today. It happens to all of us: We scroll endlessly on Tiktok, searching for DIY videos about organizing our closets on Youtube, etc. We gradually prefer information that is 30 seconds long to page-length articles (are you even still reading this?). We see the need for efficient video content for web development. This is why we created client testimonials as well as a homepage video.
3) Every encounter should have a call-to-action. Although this is an important part of the user experience, we highlight it because it is so vital. If the visitor can’t find how to contact you, your entire website is lost. You must also keep asking people to connect as they scroll through your website. What is a Call-to-Action? CTA’s can be described as “Click Here to Contact Us” or “Ready For Success”. let’s get started”. It’s not enough to make one call for action.
4) We may give away some of our New Orleans website design Secret Sauce but we think you deserve something more if you are still reading this. The software runs backend and tracks visitors. It tells us what pages they have visited, when they filled out forms, and how many times. We now have more information about the prospect before we call to make contact. There are a few more features to the software that we cannot share here so if you are interested in learning more, Adrienne Folse, DTP owner, can set up a meeting or call with you and she will tell you what we have and how it can benefit your company. 5) Search Engine Optimization. Although SEO is a popular term for marketing, many people don’t know how Search Engine Optimization works. Good SEO is essential for a successful web development. It will entice Google, Bing, and other search engines. Just as we created every pixel with purpose we also did more work for the content of our website. There are content strategies that you can see on the website and those that only Google can index. Each section is written in a way that Search Engines can direct people to the best pages of our website. It is often said that imitation is the best form flattery. Consider how your company would grow if Design The Planet added all these features to its website. It is sophisticated, elegant, search engine-friendly, efficient, modern, and up-to-date.
